SPECS Pilot operated regulators are typically used for these applications which need large flowrate or precise pressure control is required.Pilot operated Pressure Relief Regulators are consisted of main valve and pilot valve,when the pilot valve detected the upstream pressure rises,it will respond quickly and accurately to open the pilot valve,after the pilot valve opening,the main valve will also been opened by the upstream pressure.Through above two paths,the regulator achieve the purpose of pressure relief.
